Sneak peek at the quilt

When I first decided I wanted to do "Pickles and Ice cream" I should have looked more closely at the instructions, it wasn't until I had cut out and sewn 480 triangles that I realised this quilt is time consuming! It will be worth it though and I am on the home stretch to getting the top done.

It's also taken a lot of pressing as well, bit concerned about the seams and stippling

So now I'm to make 16 of the above.

  1. I think the pressing is the hardest part and yet the most important....short of the perfect 1/4" stitch! It looks lovely though, I can't wait to see it all together!

  2. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt when it's finished. I wouldn't worry too much about the seams, the best quilts are the slightly imperfect ones!

  3. Love the colours. Only a patchworker doesn't see the madness in cutting a big piece of fabric into small pieces and sewing them back together again. When the top is done you will have forgotten about all those triangles. Looks good so far. Happy Stitching, Ann :)

  4. I've made four more blocks and it's going together great :) Those triangles are becoming a distant memory already....

  5. It's looking great. There's something about triangles that gets so tedious. But it just looks so beautiful!
