I have a zip to attach to a witches costume, eyes to glue on a pumpkin and ghost meringues to make and prepare for 20 kids this afternoon!
4 Large Eggs
225g Golden Caster Sugar
Milk chocolate buttons
Beat 4 egg whites in a bowl until they stand in stiff peaks.
Add half the caster sugar and beat well. Gradually add the remaining sugar a tablespoonful at a time until the mixture is stiff and glossy.
Dollop large spoonfuls of the mixture onto 2 baking trays with baking paper, and shape into ghosts, snowmen or Christmas trees.
Bake in a preheated oven 110ºC, fan 90ºC, gas ¼ for 60 minutes, then turn the oven off and let the meringues sit for another 30 minutes.
Decorate with chocolate buttons by attaching with a drop of melted chocolate, and serve as a fun treat that will disappear in seconds.
