APQ Block Swap Block

I finished my blocks for the apq swap, but something is wrong, took me ages to figure out what it was. Do you think it matters? Should I do them again?
I really like the block and it came together very easily. It has inspired me for Chloe's quilt, in oranges and yellows.

  1. I like it! I see what the "problem" is, but I say it looks great as is. No need to do them again, unless of course you want extras for yourself :) -Joanne

  2. Leave it. I like it too! It will add character and isn't really "wrong" just not the same placement as the original.

  5. If it makes you feel better, the first batch I sewed together were the two of the same color! :) Theri

  6. If you really, really think you will be the only one with a mix-up, you might want to change it. I doubt that will be the case.
If you hadn't mentioned it, I probably would never have noticed! Looks just fine to me! Now get to sewing on some more, girl! ---"Love"

  7. Looks like part of the swap to me. First of all, nobody in this group is a registered member of the quilt police. And second, if people didn't get "adventurous" and make a few changes, quilting would never have become what it is today. Good job! Mary

  8. Karen, your block is fine. I can see what you think is a *problem* but I certainly don't think it is. Remember this is a scarp quilt and Mary is quite correct - no quilt police here. Love the fabrics and colours you have used. Ann :-)
