Hampton Court Palace

I had a day off from 'mum' duties yesterday and went to Hampton Court Palace with the gorgeous Rowena. We wondered round in the sunshine not saying a lot just taking photographs, exclaiming at the flowers, cooing over the fabrics and chairs and wondered how the artist painted on the ceiling curves at 30 feet in the air!

Queen Annes Chair, its 300 years old!

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed your short break from mum duties. We all need that once in a while. Thanks for sharing the pics.

  2. After tutoring a grandson through British Literature this summer, I'd like to sit down in the Queen's chair! Believe me, I've earned it! Kidding aside, it is beautiful, as are the rest of your pictures --- places I'll never get to see in person. Thanks for sharing! ---"Love"

  3. Hi Karen, What fun to see your pictures. I love the 300 year old chair. Just to think about all who have sat there. I don't know if you received my email? I still would love the pattern for your charm tote bag. My computer won't let me download it. I would really appreciate it if you could email it to me: conniesniche@aol.com.
Thanks for the great pictures. Connie204

  6. Oh it's wonderful! It looks as beautiful as I imagine. How stunning are those marigolds? Queen Anne had some serious style. Glad you enjoyed the day. Ann :-)
