A little bit of cheating....

Line up your chosen fabrics in a pleasing manner

Sew strips together and press seams (one direction or apart, however you like)

Take triangle template and cut out.

Sew two triangles to your kite shape,

Press seams

Sew two triangles together and press

Sew two traingles to another two triangles....

and voila a cheats way to make a spiderweb block.
I got bored doing it the other way!

Tomorrow the girls and I are going here and here, we are also going to pick up something as a giveaway to celebrate the new blog name and  university place, so check back next week.

  1. I think that's a fantastically clever way to make those blocks. I would have been bored just contemplating making them the harder way, so maybe now I'll make some...

  3. There's a harder way? What you are doing just makes so much sense. Love those blocks, by the way.
