A winter walk

We've spent this holiday hunkered down inside doing...well not a lot.
It's been a crazy busy December, so I've spent the time reading, watching movies (BBC2 had a run of ghostly movies a Christmas must), baking and *gasp* a bit of cleaning/organising.
Today I will set up the sewing machine and do something.
After I've made a treacle pudding.

Yesterday after about a week indoors and in the car park trying to learn how to ride bikes we headed to the coast for an afternoon.
It was freezing.
It was windy.
It was beautiful.

The Beach Hut, built around 1884, the iron work on top is fantastic.
Today it sells hot doughnuts and coffee.
Perfect.

The sun setting, about 3.30pm!

I love the fact my cousins live in Brighton.
It gives the perfect excuse to drive an hour to enjoy a lovely afternoon walk.

As for Christmas.
It was like this much of the day.

Hyper children in onesies.

  2. The photo of the kids is fantastic. Looks like they're having a wonderful time. Enjoy the time off, even if it is cold and the sun sets at 3:30...

  3. Cute kids, all of them! I'm so glad you were (are) able to spend lots of quality time with them. Wish more parents could (would!) do the same with theirs. That's so important! Happy New Year! ---"Love"
