Sissinghurst Castle

As with a lot of castles in Kent not so much a castle, but beautiful gardens and with the weather being close to perfect. It was a perfect day to visit.

Quite windy at the top of the Elizabethan tower.

 Views of the garden.

The Elizabethan Tower, the oldest part left standing.

The orange garden

Does anyone know the name of this flower?

I didn't know you get more than one flower on a stalk for sunflowers.

The kids enjoyed it, as in they could run down all the little alleyways, going from one 'room' to another, seeing what was beyond the next wall.

The tower.

There are two lakes at the bottom of the gardens, which were lovely to walk round.

A fairy door

I'm going to assume these are family pets, probably dogs?

And to finish the day off, as were only 35 minutes! away, a trip to run into the sea in their undies.
