My list was complied from the top 100 Guardian Newspaper classics.
I had read quite a few of the top ten and wanted to include more Victorian authors - both male and female - so picked from the bigger list.
I also own 9 of the books already, which influenced me ;)
The one that I might find a challenge - Ulysses.
My first book, happens to be first on the list Mrs Dalloway.
I really enjoyed the Women in White and Madame Bovary. Can't say I'm all that keen to tackle Ulysses. Another good read is The Black Tulip by Alexandre Dumas.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about Ulysses, I had trepidation about putting it on the list but what do I have to lose? So it stayed.
